Experience
Art therapy in the mountains
Clay, painting, and wood carving are gentle ways to come back to your senses—hands moving, breath steady, mind quiet. In the jungle sanctuary at Naggar, we create without pressure and let the process do the work.
Why we create
Art therapy here isn’t about making something “good.” It’s about making something true. When you work with earth pigments, wet clay, and living wood, your nervous system gets a clear signal: you’re safe, present, and allowed to explore. You’ll be guided with simple prompts and plenty of spacious time—so your hands can lead and your mind can soften.
Three modalities, one intention
Each practice meets you differently. Together, they help you release, integrate, and reconnect to what’s real.
Clay
Grounding through touch
Work with terracotta and natural clay to shape bowls, forms, or simple sculptures. Clay brings you into the body—steady, slow, and tactile.
Painting
Color as emotion
Use brush, pigment, and water to express what words can’t. Prompts focus on mood, memory, and landscape—without analysis.
Wood carving
Focus and flow
Carve simple forms with mindful attention—texture, grain, and rhythm. Wood carving builds patience and clarity, one cut at a time.
Benefits
What you may notice
Everyone’s process is different, but these are common shifts guests report after a few sessions.
A quieter mind
Repetitive, tactile making gives your attention a home—reducing mental noise.
Emotional release
Color and form can move what’s stuck, without needing a story.
Confidence in your voice
Creating something from nothing builds trust in your intuition and choices.
A glimpse of the making
Textures, tools, and moments of focus—small details that add up to deep presence.
