Experiences

Ayurveda + Body Check

On day 1, you’ll receive a grounded, practical assessment that blends Ayurvedic insight with allopathic check-ins. The goal is simple: understand what your body needs right now—so your practices, rest, and meals can support you for the full 8 days.

Why it matters

A clear starting point

This isn’t about labels or perfection. It’s about noticing patterns—energy, digestion, sleep, stress—and creating a plan that feels doable in real life.

You’ll leave the check-in with a simple understanding of your constitution and current imbalances, plus practical recommendations that support your retreat experience (and what you take home).

What happens

How the check-in flows

A calm, respectful process designed to meet you where you are—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

1) Arrival intake

We begin with a short health history and lifestyle intake—sleep, appetite, digestion, stress, movement, and what you’re currently navigating.

2) Ayurvedic assessment

A practitioner may review pulse, tongue, and key symptoms to understand your dosha tendencies and what’s out of balance right now.

3) Body check (allopathic)

A basic medical check-in supports safety and clarity—vitals and any relevant considerations for practices, hikes, and treatments.

4) Your retreat plan

You’ll receive practical guidance for the week—food approach, hydration, rest rhythms, and what to prioritize in your daily schedule.

What you receive

Meals that support you

After your day-1 assessment, meals are tailored to your body’s needs—supporting digestion, energy, and steadiness.

Practice recommendations

We’ll help you choose what to lean into (and what to soften) across yoga, meditation, hikes, and healing sessions.

Simple take-home habits

You’ll leave with a few clear, realistic habits—so the retreat continues to work long after you return home.

Questions, answered

A few common things people wonder before the assessment.

Is this a diagnosis?

No. The check-in is for guidance and safety during the retreat. If anything needs clinical follow-up, we’ll recommend appropriate next steps.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Just come as you are. If you have recent lab reports or a medication list, you’re welcome to bring them.

Will my meals change immediately?

Yes—once your day-1 assessment is complete, the kitchen can begin tailoring meals to your needs for the rest of the retreat.

What if I have injuries or limitations?

Please share them during intake. We’ll help you adapt practices and choose experiences that feel supportive.

Is the assessment private?

Yes. Your check-in is one-on-one, and your information is treated respectfully and confidentially.

How does this connect to other treatments?

Your assessment can inform what you choose—massage, shirodhara, rest time, and the intensity of movement—so everything works together.
